Hi! I’m Ben, a lifelong gamer, scientist by training, and the creator of Magneterra! I’ve always loved game nights with family and friends filled with strategy, competition, and laughter. Alongside my passion for gaming, I’ve also been captivated by science, especially the invisible forces like magnetism that shape our world. This love for both gaming and science inspired me to create a unique board game.

The idea for Magneterra began when my father playfully challenged my siblings and me to invent a board game. After several failed ideas, the breakthrough came one morning as I absentmindedly moved a stack of neodymium magnets near a lone magnet. The lone magnet suddenly jumped two inches, making a sharp 'click’ sound as it impacted the stack in my hand. That simple, striking interaction inspired Magneterra's core mechanic—capturing magnets from towers of increasing height. I then merged this concept with a fantasy universe I had created for a novel, shaping a dynamic, strategy-driven game.
